Michael Atkinson

President

As President, Michael focuses on driving business development across both existing and new vendor partnerships. He remains actively involved in managing sales and calling on key accounts at the headquarters level. Michael began his career at Krasdale Foods in White Plains, New York, where he served as a grocery buyer. After joining Douglas Sales Associates, Inc., he led the firm’s retail group and played a key role in advancing growth initiatives. In January 2023, Michael assumed his current role as President and owner. He also serves as a board member of Friends of the Food Industry.

Michael is a graduate of Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts, where he earned a BA in Communication and Business. In 2009, he founded Heart Strong, a nonprofit organization that raised funds for the American Heart Association. He is a member and trustee of the Pastime Club, supporting youth athletics in Mendham and Chester, New Jersey. Outside of work, Michael is an avid car enthusiast and enjoys golf and traveling.
