Michael Atkinson

President

 

 

As the President, Michael focuses on driving business development with current and new vendors, by managing sales and calling on key accounts at the headquarter level. Michael began his career at Krasdale Foods in White Plains, NY where he was a Buyer in the grocery category. When he first joined Douglas Sales, he directed our retail group and focused on growth initiatives. In January 2023, Michael assumed his current role as President and co-owner. He is a board member with the Friends of the Food Industry.

Michael is a graduate from Stonehill College in Easton, MA with a BA in Communication/Business. In 2009 Michael founded Heart Strong, a non profit organization which raised money for the American Heart Association. He is a member of the Pastime Club, which supports youth athletics in Mendham & Chester, NJ. He is an avid car enthusiast and also enjoys golf and traveling.
